Etude House and Beauty Cottage

Hello,

Back in february I traveled to several asian countries and of course did some shopping.

I think Etude House is already familiar with asian make-up fans in western countries, but what about Beauty Cottage?

Beauty Cottage is a Thai cosmetic brand which sells a wide variety of vintage styled products.
The shops I visited were so cute. Shabby Chic interior and decorated with dried flowers, frames with vintage pictures and a picture wall.
Their values and philosophy as described in their brochure:

To provide the natural crafted beauty products, from the finest purity of natural igredients of fruit, floral, vegetable, herb and plant extracts to our customers for the pleasurable experience everyday. We constantly commit to create our products with:

  • The finest purity of natural ingredients.
  • Free of Paraben and Sodium Laryl Sulfate, in skin care which are, with no doubt, deemed the cause & effect of cancers.
  • Against animal testing

  • We continuously develop our products beyond the best through our committed standardized producers to ensure that all of our products are sourced from pure nature and bring you the real happiness of authenticity & purity.

In Bangkok, Thailand, I bought a lip balm with SPF 15 with sunflower seeds. The smell is very gentle and when applied it leaves a transparent gloss without the stickiness of lipgloss.
Water melon is one of my favorite things and you don't find many water melon products beside shower gel and lip balm here in Germany, so I really wanted to try this facial mask sheet. I still need to find the right occasion to use it.
Some of you might know that I have some skin issues and liquid perfume is based on alcohol which hurts on my skin and drying-out skin so easily. Therefore I was very happy that Beauty Cottage carries a small selection of solid perfumes with vintage inspired scents.
Mine is called Victorian Romance Memories of Love and it lives up to it's name. The scent reminds me of my grandmas and I get all nostalgic. I think it smells a lot like roses.

Ever since I saw the Princess Etoinette Lipsticks for the first time I wanted one, but they were all sold out online or sold for crazy prices.
But when I visited Etude House in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, they still had some left for a great deal (1 + 1 free), so I couldn't resist.

Just look at the imprint, isn't it cute?

Asian product package and styling is always so detailed and cute, it's a lot of fun to use them.
If you know any hidden gemstones of asian cosmetics let me know.

Hope to welcome you soon again

How to order from Taobao using Taobaoring

    Hey everyone,

Today I want to translate one of my past blog entries of my german blog.

If you're active in any Lolita oder Mori Girl community you'll always stumble across the question "How to order from Taobao?".
Taobao seems quite confusing, but it isn't that complicated, I promise.

Taobao is the chinese version of Ebay. You can find a lot of interesting facts about Taobao on Hellolace.
A shop's credibility is always shown in symbols on their profile.
    Hearts < Diamonds < Crowns

    http://hellolace.net/shopping/taobao-guide

I use Taobaoring for my shopping sprees on Taobao. Until now they are very reliable and quick and their fees are not too high.
Also I really like the fact that Taobaoring has a very clear homepage. They always update in time and you don't have to write a ton of emails like with other shopping services.

How do you order now? That's easy.

First of all you need to know  which items you like to purchase. If you do a Lolita related order you can take a look on this or this list on EGL. If it's a Mori Girl related order, please refer to the document in the International Mori Girl Community on FB.

First step is to go on the front page and click "Quick Order".
On the next page this little box is important:

Copy the URL of your item and insert it into the boy and click "Get it".
Now you can choose more options if available like size (1), colors (2), discount (3) and quantity (4).

If you are not sure if you chose the right color you can also specify which item you mean by giving them the picture URL. Sometimes the colors aren't translated correctly so this might be helpful.
You can also add more details or questions in the input box (remark).

Now click on "Add to My Cart" and you're another step closer to a finished order.

Repeat until you added all your items to your cart and click "Continue".
You need to register to complete your order.

    Taobaoring offers different shipping options.
(If you're living in Germany, do not use EMS as your order will be caught by GDSK which will charge you an expensive fee to tax your pachage at the border.)

You still have more questions or requests? Here's the space for it:

you only need to click "Confirm Order" and they will check if everything is available. You can also save your order for later use.

Taobaoring will now check if your desired items are available and how much freight is. this should take them 1-3 days. They estimate their shopping fee and total and will send you a notification email that you can pay the first invoice.
They offer different options for your payment, please note that they charge you extra for Paypal payments!
After you paid the invoice they will purchase the items and let you know as soon as everything arrived at their office.

I really like the fact that they take pictures of your order and upload them.
After everything arrived they send you a second invoice for shipping.
Sometimes it happens that items are sold out after you paid the first invoice, in that case they refund you through Paypal/payment option of your choice.

    That's it, I hope I didn't forget anything.
If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment.

Hope to welcome you soon again.
